MODArts Dance Collective's (MADC) definition of Me < We is to encourage and nurture our independent unique selves through the principles of purpose and passion. How, through the rich examination of self we can ultimately grow closer, forming an unbreakable collective built on compassion and understanding.
MODArts Dance Collective (MADC) is thrilled to announce its' free works in progress (WIP) showing of Circles and Me & U followed by a Q & A with the company on Saturday, January 18, 2025 7:30-8:30pm at Hi-ARTS, 215 E 99th St, New York, NY 10029. Experience what MADC has been working on in the studio and get a behind the scenes look at the creative process in an intimate studio setting.
Me < We: a solo dance concert
MADC is elated to be presenting the repertory work, Circles; the audience favorite repertory work, Thoughts of You; and an ongoing work in progress, Me & U. Circles celebrates community and sisterhood through the lens of the individual artists and as a collective. Thoughts of You captures the feeling & memories associated with new love. Me & U celebrates Black love and what it means to build a lifetime with another person. A Q & A with the company artists will follow both evening concerts.The 2024/25 season solo concert is May 9 & 10, 2025 7:30 PM @ Speyer Hall at University Settlement, 184 Eldridge Street, New York, NY 10002. Tickets will be $25/general admission (plus processing fees); $20/students (up to age 22) & seniors (62+)[plus processing fees}; & $180/groups of 10 (plus processing fees).
